This was a costume created just because I wanted to!  Toddler sized garments never take much fabric, usually.  Boy, was I wrong.  By the time I was done with this thing, I was coughing up velvet fuzzballs and swearing never to sew with corduroy again.   Jacket Unlined and made of corduroy with a slight stretch, it has copious amounts of trim.  The sleeves have turned back cuffs, also trimmed. Shirt Just a plain poet or pirate style shirt with a band collar and slit neck.   The neck and sleeve cuffs button closed. Vest I used scraps of left over oriental brocade for the front, lined with red satin.
