| I had a request for a fancier version of the pirate coat I'd made before. After digging through fabrics, I found my inspirations. This one would come with a vest, as well. Jacket The outer fabric is a polyester shantung satin and is lined in a heavy black cotton. The cuffs, collar, and font facing are of crushed blue velvet. There is roughly 12 yards of trim on it, if I remember correctly. The pockets are actual functioning pockets, unlike the first version. Waistcoat The waistcoat, or vest, is made of a medium to heavy weight brocade. The pockets are non functioning. You can barely spot the pocket flaps, as I did such a good, if unintentional, job of matching the pattern up. The back is of the same satin as the coat and it is lined in black cotton. It is fitted by means of ties in the back. Pricing Coat: starting at $250 Waistcoat: starting at $100 Prices may vary according to size and fabric choices. |
