A Pirate's Pistol with Holster The original gun was a very cheap looking toy gun in matte black and grey.  The entire gun has been repainted and decorative scrolls added to the 'wooden' section.  The holster is imitation leather and has a loop in the back to slide onto a belt. $20 for the set

Toto as a LionDog I was contacted by someone who needed a Toto to complete her Dorothy costume, with a twist.  She had an oriental slant to her costume and needed him to look like one of the liondogs that guard Buddhist temples.   This was a fascinating challenge.  The face was created by many layers of pulled threadwork, applique and flat out guess work.  The teeth and claws are sculpted and glued on.  The mane is a mass of yarn.
