Star Senator

This costume is based on a gown worn in the film Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.   This is not a screen accurate version, as my customer prefered cooler, lighter fabrics, as the original was made from felted wool.  The underdress is made of cotton batiste and the tabard/overdress of medium weight linen.  The collar is heavily interfaced and adorned with three shank buttons on each side. A costume comparable to this in fabrics and size, which is a pattern size 12, is set at $250.  A more screen accurate version, of felt or brocade, would be more expensive, due to the higher priced fabrics.
